Lucky Escape
As happens when you move, you come across things you’d forgotten, and in moving blogs I came across this post I had written just before Christmas. I didn’t publish at the time, for various reasons, but just for the shear ‘ohmygodness’ of it all, here it is in it’s entirity. Have I mentioned recently how pleased I am to have left?
“Lunch Time Chatter
Over lunch today our CEO entertained us with his thoughts on such varied topics as:
How he wished he were bi-sexual so that he could have the best of both worlds, and wouldn’t it be better if on the company website there was a “butch” profile of himself and profile where he was “more in touch with [his] feminine side”.
The time he spent Christmas with cannibals in Malaysia, during which he learned that the palm of the human hand is considered a delicacy and that women are not allowed to eat human flesh unless it is a certain part of their cheating husband, cooked first obviously.
How a female executive, hired by the CEO, met with the senior male executive she would be working with before starting the job to discuss her role etc, then never turned up on what would have been her first day. Instead she sent a letter explaining that she had never been so shocked or humiliated in her life and that in the circumsatnces she would not be taking up the job offer.
How in a former company, the CEO of that company, would reguarly hire “whores” and one night hired six at once and proceeded to make them wait in the office kitchen while he made his way through each of them one by one; and wasn’t it a shame that everyone was so much more professional these days and how such a lot of the fun had gone out of the job.”
Oh and if anyone thinks I should take this down for fear of getting sued, please tell me
