Big Brother: The Final Countdown
With 6 housemates now left in the [insert Geordie accent] "Big Brother House" [remove Geordie accent] the chance of winning the whole competition is very much there for the taking. I have watched most of this series which I feel can rival the first one, if not surpass it. By analysing the 6 remaining housemates I am going to predict how I think they will do in terms of winning the series.
Nadia
I believe Nadia is one of the most genuine members of the house. She has always been seen to wear her emotions on her sleeve and her moodswings have been plain for everyone to see.
She shows herself to be fun-loving and also has the most infectious laugh.
When you consider the fact that she is a also a post-op transexual she must have a lot of courage to even be able to apply for the series let alone last until the final weeks. Nadia is therefore my tip to win the entire series.
Highlight - Her unique "cackle"
Lowlight - The results of her cigarette cravings
Dan
Dan is very much seen as the peacemaker of the house, as he always seems to be able to diffuse potentially volatile situations. He is the sort of person that knows how to have a good time but also knows when its best to be serious for things such as tasks and also is a great comforter, especially to the females of the house.
Moreover, unlike Marco, he has helped to rubbish the gay stereotypes that are still voiced by some today.
Not all homosexuals are screaming, effeminate queens (not all the time anyway). Dan seems to have quite a large following and I think this will help him secure 2nd in the contest.
Highlight - The chocolate spread incident with Jason
Lowlight - His reaction to the 'Harem' food-fight
Shell
Shell can indeed be seen as a friendly, cheerful and also helpful housemate but, as a lot of people have commented on, is Shell actually too nice?
Shell has a tendency to become extremely emotional during arguments whether they directly involve her or not and this can lead many viewers to be irritated by her.
She seems to possess no backbone whatsover and her extremely nice persona makes people believe that she may actually be playing a game though her emotional reactions. Despite this however I feel that she may just scrape third ahead of Michelle.
Highlight - Her random streak while mowing the lawn
Lowlight - Being prone to tears
Michelle
Michelle is a very difficult housemate to analyse for me as sometimes I love her and at other times I want to throttle her. Michelle can be funny, caring, comforting and also very much a team player.
However she can also be seen as possessive, egotistical and far too conscious of the cameras almost 24/7.
Her relationship with Stuart is agony to watch as she seems to control everything, being able to make mountains out of molehills, especially with his bread-making sessions with Shell and the farce of the wedding task where she couldn't be bride and therefore became stropey as she missed out on a chance for being the centre of attention. Recently Michelle has become almost tedious and therefore less popular, I feel, with the viewing public. She may just beat Shell to third as she is much more of a vocal housemate, but her recent actions mean that I believe she will end up fourth.
Highlight - Managing to re-install herself into the house successfully after the bed-sit
Lowlight - Her strop at not being the Bride for the Wedding task
Stuart
To be honest, there isn't much to say about Stuart as I feel he has been a non-entity within the house. He is bland, boring, meek and seen to be extremely under the thumb of Michelle.
He may be a pretty boy but, in my opinion, this is his only real quality.
He is more popular than Jason but I really can't see him getting any closer to winning than fifth.
Highlight - Still waiting for one
Lowlight - His childish sob after his cowboy hat was burned
Jason
Jason is now seen to be almost completely ostracised from the rest of the group. He is self-obssessed, lazy, abusive, ignorant and has an extremely short fuse. He doesn't seem to have a good word to say about anyone left in the house and the remaining housemates are beginning to sense he feels uneasy around them.
His scheming with Victor, seen by the viewers, would not have helped his cause either.
He will
definitely be voted out on Friday and I don't think the reception he will receive will be friendly to say the least.
Highlight - Will be when he leaves the house
Lowlight - His confrontations with Marco and Nadia
